"FURAAAIII!!"
"Take me down Sandstorm." My trusty partner lands and lets me off its back as I survey what happened after Registeel woke up and blew Mask and I away. There were signs of carnage everywhere, like a strong hurricane came through and ravaged the entire area. Trees were laying down on the ground, blown over by the intense winds. Random plants were uprooted, laying around limp and pale. The smell of rotting was floating through the air like a Stunky's odor. Not surprising, as there were several dead Pokemon around, Stunky included, crushed by the trees.
"This is horrible... Team Celestium is just horrible, risking the lives of so many Pokemon and plants, as well as many humans, just so they can capture a Legendary Pokemon and get towards their goal... Regice...! Sandstorm, we need to go to Route 105, now!" I board my faithful friend once more, to stop that villain, Mask.
-------
*Route 105*
"MASK!!" I jump off Sandstorm before he lands, just to get to Mask quicker. I notice that Mask has his mask back. Does he have more or is something up with them...?
"Nite, you just can't stay away from what we need to do, can you?" Mask turns to me with a slightly arrogant tone in his voice.
"We need? So you have a partner now, hm?" I look over into the bushes to find Shark with forest camo on. "You...! You're the one who attacked the Banzuke Fighters in Unova! Why are you wearing forest camo? It makes you stand out MORE."
"Oh come on, don't I look chill? And yes, I was the one in that attack, but I'm here to observe this time, not fight. Even though my chill Pokemon would Attract yours and be all chill." I have never wanted to punch anyone in the face quite as much as right now.
"Whatever, I'm not here for you anyway; I'm here to make sure Mask doesn't wake Regice up." My mission comes before satisfying violence…
"That's right Nite, we haven't finished any battles, have we? Alright, this time the gloves are off. You and me, mano-a-mano, full 3-on-3 battle. Let's go!"
***
"Go, Hydreigon!" Mask reaches for his belt and pulls off a small white Poke Ball. The Poke Ball would have reflected brightly in the Sun, but the ominous gray clouds prevent that. Mask tosses the mirror-like ball to release the same blue and black Hydreigon from last time with the same red stars emerging from the ball.
"Breloom, you're up, do me proud!" I do the same thing, almost mirroring Mask's actions and toss my regular Poke Ball, releasing my small mushroom fighter in a shining yellow light.
"Hydry VS. Mushroom-thing. FIGHT!!" I spare a small glance at Shark, silently telling him to shut up.
"Hydra, use Flamethrower!" Hydreigon fires a steady stream of fire at Breloom. The fire is hot; even though I'm a good distance from the stream I can still feel it.
"Breloom, dodge, quickly!" My green hobbit-thing agilely jumps to the side, easily avoiding the scorching wave of heat. "Good job, use Sky Uppercut!" Breloom's small hand glows a bright blue. Breloom runs up to about where Hydreigon is on land, then jumps up sharply and quickly, almost snagging Hydreigon square in the chin.
"Hydra, Dragon Tail!" Hydreigon grunts and slams Breloom down into the sand just as fast as he ascended. Breloom crashes into the dust, kicking up a large cloud. Standing as the dust settles, Breloom lets loose a loud growl, ready for action.
"Excellent Breloom, now the special Seed Bomb!"
"Special Seed Bomb?!?! What's your game?!" Mask is obviously confused through the tone of his voice; I don't even need to see his face. "Hydra, incinerate whatever comes out of Breloom's mouth!"
"Nice try, Mask." Breloom shoots three coconut-sized seeds out of its tail, straight up, and then uses Mach Punch on them as they come down.
"Hydra, you know what to do!" Hydreigon roars, then, just as the seeds shoot at it, catches one each in its mouths.
"Well, that's certainly an impressive trick you've taught to that thing Mask, but it's not nearly enough." I smirk. "You forget something about my attack."
"What are you going on about, twer-" Mask is cut short by the boom. "HYDRA, YOU FOOL!!!" The boom came from my Seed Bombs exploding inside Hydreigon's three mouths. From the smoke, the scorched dragon falls to the ground, its extra mouths blackened and limp. "My dragon... IF IT'S DEAD I'M GOING TO ANNIHILATE YOU!!!!"
"Well, that was a bit more powerful than anticipated, but its main head is fine, it'll be okay." Breloom goes up to the dusty Hydreigon laying down on the sand and pokes it a few times.
"GOOOOONNNN!!!!" The Hydreigon stands up and bites Breloom's chest.
"Hydreigon, you are a sneaky dragon! I have trained you well!" There's a sense of arrogance in Mask's slightly muffled voice. “Now then, finish it off!"
"Breloom, why did you do that, it was clearly a trap! I can't do anything now!" Hydreigon's mouth glows red and Breloom tries to squirm away, but to no avail. Hydreigon releases a Flamethrower at point-blank range, blackening Breloom's chest. Hydreigon lets go and faints from exhaustion. "Come back, Breloom, I can't ask any more of you at this point."
"Return Hydra, you fool. You're lucky you got the KO or you wouldn't have dinner tonight." As I briefly contemplate the cruelness of Mask's statement I notice the wind start to pick up. "Nite, I can see I'm not going to do this easily without entering Hyper Mode." Mask takes off his yin-yang style mask to reveal his face.
"So, you can enter that without having only one Pokemon left? Interesting, but not enough to win you this match and Regice! Go, Sandstorm!" I reach back to my belt and pull out another red-white Poke Ball. I throw it out and my loyal Flygon roars from the cold.
"Go, Gallade." Mask pulls out a blue and white Poke Ball, which I assume is a Great Ball. The blue is reflected in the light that comes out with Gallade. Flygon, this is it. Remember this Gallade? Let's get revenge, buddy! Flygon roars again, as if in sync with my thoughts.
"Sandstorm... Let's give this jackass a run for his money! Go, Fire Punch!" At this point I hope the Fire Punch will warm Sandstorm up. Sandstorm makes boxing gloves of fire on his hands and flies towards Gallade.
"A straightforward attack really, Nite? I'm disappointed." Flygon throws his punch, going right through it. Sandstorm turns around to find himself surrounded by a platoon of Gallade.
"Don't be surprised until you've seen everything, Mask. Flygon, Silver Wind!" Flygon balances on his tail. His wings start glowing silver and Sandstorm begins spinning around and around, becoming a silver whirlwind. Silver sonic-booms emanate from Sandstorm's glow in all directions, hitting all the fake Double Team Gallades, as well as the real one, hitting it back into the small waves.
"Well, that's a new one. I suppose you did prepare after all. Gallade, Psycho Cut, and then Shadow Sneak!" Gallade fires off a pale-pink shockwave from its pink glowing arms, then sinks into the ground as a shadow and pops up behind Sandstorm "Now Gallade, Close Combat!" I smirk.
"What are you DOING?!?! Is it another one of your tricks?!"
"Of course, you just left a huge opening. Sandstorm, fly up now!" Flygon jumps up, dodging a kick. The Psycho Cut hits Mask's Gallade as he brings his leg down. "Now, use Dragon Claw! Flygon's energy materializes in gigantic claws, then he dive bombs the sprawled out Gallade.
"Gallade, you are a worthless buffoon! Get up!" Gallade doesn't respond in time and is swept up into a palm tree. "Pathetic, Gallade Return!" Mask takes out his Great Ball and the red light envelops Gallade, calling it back.
"Well, Nite it's time to end this once and for all. Go, Golurk!" Mask brings out a dark green Poke Ball and brings out the huge behemoth. At this point I notice the temperature start to drop rapidly and the winds pick up massively. Out of the corner of my eye I see a little frost on the trees.
"Hmm... Sandstorm, come back."
"So your little dragon can't handle a little cold, hm? Whatever, just send out your last Pokemon." Mask shuffles his feet slightly uncomfortable.
"Heh. Go, Walrein!" The yellow light from my last Poke Ball shines especially bright on the dim, gray cloud background. My blue-white walrus sits there content and cuts loose an approving roar.
"Walrein, so that's it, huh? Well, don't expect your comparatively small blubber nugget to beat my Golurk! Use Shadow Punch, Golurk!" Golurk moves slowly and rattles the machinery in its body. Golurk makes a punching motion towards Walrein and a black shadow of a fist moves from Golurk's hand. Walrein is too slow to dodge something like that...
"Walrein, use Protect!"
"Waall... REEEEEIIIINN!!!!" Walrein bellows, shaking the whole island and making the air colder, but a green shield appears between it and the shadow fist just in time to block it. The two colliding forces rumble a bit, but Walrein prevails.
"Dammit Golurk! Why can't my Pokemon do something right? DynamicPunch!" Golurk charges towards Walrein and throws a real punch this time.
"Walrein, this is nothing. Use Protect again!" Walrein bellows agian, but nothing happens. "Walrein, what's wrong?!"
"Come on Nitey-poo, it's obvious that Protect can't be used in succession!"
"Shark, do me a favor, will ya?" I put an unnaturally friendly tone in my voice.
"Sure pal!" Pal? I hardly know him and I hate his guts...
"SHUT UP!!!!" The punch smacks Walrein onto the beach as I yell at Shark. "Walrein, this is your chance! Get in the wat- Rrrrrr." The winds start blowing all over the place. Twigs and leaves are blowing into the distance and the temperature drops like a rock.
"NO! I will not let a little cold interrupt our match like this!" Mask is a fool, but I can't run now. I see the ocean and lakes nearby freeze up with a top layer of ice. Wait, ice... THAT'S IT!!!
"Walrein, get onto the ice!" The blue walrus flops onto the clear clean ice. Golurk tries to follow it, but seems to know what the frozen water is.
"The ice, THAT's your big plan? Golurk, Shadow Punch!" Golurk winds up for another attack and throws its fist at Walrein. A dark shadow fist speeds toward the walrus again.
"Walrein..." My Pokemon braces itself. "...Dodge it." Walrein fires off across the ice like a missile, easily avoiding the projectile. It comes to a stop a few seconds later after circling the island. Golurk's mechanics begin to scream out in agony and pressure.
"Are you kidding me?! It gets that fast with only a small breeze and some ice?! This is ridiculous! Golurk, follow it onto the ice!" Golurk lands a huge foot onto the ice, which is seemingly stable. Then the other foot...
*CRRRRRRACK!!!!!* Golurk fell through the ice! Only its head is sticking out, the rest is completely submerged!
"Golurk... it fell through the ice! Quick Walrein, use Blizzard!"
"WAAAAAALLLL!!!" Walrein gathers up energy and releases a powerful wave of nothing but pure cold air in all directions from its body. Golurk's head is frozen, as well as the rest of its body I'm sure.
"Golurk, you hunk of scrap metal, Come back! Mask holds out his Dusk Ball and the red light reclaims Golurk to its depths, not to battle again this match.
"Mask, it appears I've won."
"Not yet, you persistent little irritant! You forget, I called back Gallade! Go, GALLADE!!!!" Mask re-sends out his fighter, the blue shine from the Great ball reflecting in and out of everything in the icy surroundings.
"Ugh, I just can't win! Walrein, use Water Pulse!" Walrein fires several blue rings of crystal-clear water from its mouth.
"Gallade, absorb them with Leaf Blade!" Gallade's blade arms glow an even brighter green, taking in every drop of the projectile water. "Now then onto the ice, go after Walrein and use Close Combat!"
"Walrein, keep evading and counter-attack with Ice Beam every chance you get!" Walrein and Gallade dance around on the ice, the light from the Ice Beams getting bounced around on just about everything. Sometimes one or the other gets in a good hit, but no substantial damage is being taken or given. "Walrein, use Protect!"
"WAAAALLL" Walrein's green shield appears just as Gallade throws a punch. The attack bounces off the shield and Gallade slides past the large beast.
"Good Job, now Blizzard!"
"Gallade, use Leaf Blade! Use the power from Walrein's Water Pulse!"
Walrein bellows and sends out the wave of sheer cold, but Gallade manages to get in a direct Leaf Blade just as it's hit. Gallade is frozen. Walrein falls over.
"Both Gallade and Walrein are unable to battle! The victory goes to the Banzuke Fighter, Nathan of Route 111, Hoenn! Heh, I always wanted to do that!" Mask storms up to Shark and grabs him by the collar.
"GET OUT OF HERE!!!!" Mask tosses Shark onto the frozen wasteland that was once the ocean.
***
"Nite, there is no denying that you are quite the crafty opponent... You managed to keep me away from both Regice and Registeel... But if you follow me, there is no guarantee you will come back. Go, Golurk!!!" Mask sends out his Golurk, now unfrozen, and gets onto its shoulder. Golurk retracts its hands and legs and fires jets, flying off into the distance without letting me say a word.
